Amy presented to our juniors and their parents, and indeed it was a Power Hour...

packed with information about how to use the essay, this very important piece of the application process, to share one’s stories, values, and goals in the most meaningful and memorable way possible. Beyond helpful “dos and don’ts” of essay writing, Amy shared insights and tips about the application process as a whole, with beneficial suggestions about how to maximize the opportunities students have to stand out in the process. Amy presented via Zoom during the COVID-19 crisis, and her positive energy and tremendous knowledge about essay writing and the application process came through the screen and helped reassure our anxious students about this next step in their educational journey.

Don't assume that preparing a personal statement for college applications is like any other kind of writing.

Ideally, it will convey a full or deep picture of a student’s character, aspirations and skills. This means that a student’s first choice of a topic may not necessarily be best, regardless of how wholeheartedly he/she wants to embrace it. Don’t assume that the kind of essay that worked in the past is sufficient now. The expectations and standards are higher. Given these facts, getting help from a professional college essay advisor or editor can be a very good move.

The efficiency!

I was able to complete my personal statement in a short amount of time while still putting in all of my efforts. I was proud with what I was able to submit!
